Class 10th and 12th Exam Dates Changed, New Dates Released

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an important notice regarding the 2026 board exams. According to the official notification issued by the CBSE, the dates of some Class 10th and 12th exams have been revised. This change applies only to those exams that were originally scheduled to be held on March 3, 2026.

The board has clarified that this decision was made for administrative reasons and there are no changes to the remaining exam schedule.

Which exams have been changed?

According to information released by CBSE, the new dates for Class 10 and 12 exams scheduled for March 3, 2026 are as follows:

  • Class 10 March 3, 2026 March 11, 2026
  • Class 12 March 3, 2026 April 10, 2026

New Information for Class 10 Students

Class 10 exams, originally scheduled for March 3, 2026, will now be held on March 11, 2026. Students are advised to continue their preparations accordingly and prepare a revision plan based on the new date.

Important Update for Class 12 Students

This change is particularly significant for Class 12 students, as their new exam date has been set for April 10, 2026. This means the exam will be held approximately one month later than the previously scheduled date.

CBSE has not cited any subject-specific reason for this delay, but has clarified that the decision was made entirely at the administrative level.

No Changes to Other Exam Schedules

The Board has also clarified that:

Only the dates of the exams scheduled for March 3, 2026, have been changed.

Exams for all other subjects will be conducted as per the previously released date sheet.

Students must appear at the exam centre as per the new dates.

All students appearing for the CBSE Board Exams 2026 are advised to:

  • Carefully read the notice issued on the CBSE official website.
  • Download your revised date sheet.
  • Prepare for the exam according to the new schedule.
  • Avoid any rumours or misinformation.

This revision in the dates of some Class 10 and 12 exams by CBSE is important for students. Candidates whose exams were scheduled for March 3, 2026, will now need to continue their preparations according to the new dates.
