For Students of Grades 1 to 8, Classes will be Conducted in Online Mode Only
According to a state government notification issued on 12th August (Thursday), schools for classes 9 to 12, universities, colleges, and coaching institutes will reopen in Rajasthan from 1st September. However, only 50 percent of students will be permitted to attend classes in each session to maintain the COVID-19 protocol and ensure everybody’s safety.
For students of grades 1 to 8, classes will be conducted in online mode only. The orders were notified after Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot approved a Group of Ministers’ recommendations to restart academic activities.
The state government had created a ministerial committee for holding discussions about the reopening of institutes. The committee lately submitted its report with recommendations to the chief minister, following which the decision was taken.
As per the Notification, All Government and Private Schools for Classes 9 to 12, Universities, Colleges, and Coaching Institutes, Will Reopen from 1st September in Rajasthan.
The academic institutes were closed due to lockdown, given the second wave of the coronavirus in the month of April this year. According to the guidelines announced by the Home Department,
all the teaching and non-teaching staff of coaching institutes must be fully vaccinated (taken both doses of COVID-19 vaccine). In contrast, the drivers and others providing transport facilities to teaching and non-teaching staff of school/colleges/ universities should at least get the first dose of vaccine.
The students who wish to attend regular classes will have to submit written consent from parents/guardians, and no student will be forced to participate in offline classes. The notification stated that the provision of online classes will continue for those who do not attend the regular classes.
Morning assembly will be conducted in schools, whereas all additional guidelines related to COVID-19 for maintaining social distancing and sanitation will have to be followed. The students will be permitted to enter the premises after the screening for COVID-19.
