The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) Under Graduate (UG) 2019 exam which was postponed in Odisha in the wake of the aftermath of Cyclone Fani has been rescheduled to 20 May 2019 for the students of the affected state.
After restoring normalcy in the devastating conditions in Odisha, Ministry of Human Resource and Development has announced the rescheduling of the NEET UG 2019 exam. The exam for all the cyclone-affected candidates will be held on May 20, 2019, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at various locations. In Odisha, the centers for the exam will remain the same. There are a total of seven exam centers in the state, namely, Angul (3601), Balasore/Baleswar (3602), Behrampur (3603), Bhubaneshwar 3604, Cuttack (3605), Rourkela (3606), Sambalpur (3607).
NEET has also been rescheduled for Karnataka students. Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar proclaimed on 6th May 2019, ‘”Happy to announce that Karnataka Students who missed NEET exam due to railway delay will get another chance,” The National Testing Agency, which is conducting the NEET the first time, has announced exam centers will remain the same. For these students, NEET UG 2019 will be conducted on May 20 as announced. Admit cards will soon be released by NTA.
NEET was successfully conducted in the rest of the country on May 5, 2019.
