Here’s a Last Lap Toolkit by Sonal Rajora Sir, Vice-President & Sr. Chemistry Faculty

JEE Advanced 2025 Examination is scheduled to be held on 18 May 2025. Around 1.90 lakh aspirants have registered themselves for this coveted Examination. Now is the time when just studying is not enough—you need to prepare thoughtfully and strategically. In a tough exam like JEE Advanced, not just knowledge but mental balance and routine also play an important role.

Tips and Strategy for the Last Week Before JEE Advanced

Here are some tips to all the JEE Advanced 2025 aspirants before attempting the JEE Advanced 2025 examination:

Adjust Your Sleeping and Waking Time According to the Exam From Now on

First of all, organize your sleeping time. Start sleeping at a fixed time every day and waking up early in the morning. This habit will keep you mentally prepared on the day of the exam. Try to set your body clock according to the exam time—so that your energy is at its peak on that day.

Do Light Study in the Morning and Practice in Three Main Slots

Morning time is best suited for revision. It will be better to revise formulas or look at short notes at this time. Apart from this, decide three main slots in the day in which you study seriously, sitting at the table in an exam-like environment. Keep these slots at the same time as your exam, so that your mind and body adjust to that environment.

Stop Reading New Things, Give Priority to Revision

Now is not the time to start new chapters or material. Just revise what you have already read. Refer to short notes, formula sheets and revision charts again and again. It is these revisions that will help you to deeply ingrain things in your memory.

Mock Tests And Old Papers: The Real Mirror of Preparation

Previous years’ question papers and mock tests are the most useful weapons at this time. Fix at least two days when you solve full papers in both the exam slots. After that, it is important to analyze each paper—see where you are going wrong, which topic needs improvement, and whether a particular pattern is being repeated again and again.

Every Question has its Value—Make Smart Selection Part of Strategy

Succeeding in the exam is not just about solving difficult questions, but solving easy questions quickly and correctly matters more. Giving more time to difficult questions can be an emotional decision. There is a calculation of marks and time behind every question—maintain a balance. “Your focus should be on what you can do well, not on what is the most difficult.”

From Now on, Prepare for the Day When Your Hard Work will be Truly Tested

Each day, prepare yourself mentally and physically for that exam day. Now is the time to give direction to your hard work—with the right strategy, disciplined routine and a steady mind.

JEE Advanced 2025 examination is gateway to admission in the undergraduate courses of the prestigious 23 Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) of the country.
