Big news has emerged for millions of students dreaming of a career in engineering. The official syllabus for JEE Advanced 2026 has now been released. This year, the responsibility of conducting the examination has been entrusted to IIT Roorkee, which has made a detailed 16-page syllabus public. The release of the syllabus has ended the long wait for students, parents, and coaching institutes.

According to the information provided by IIT Roorkee, JEE Advanced 2026 will be conducted on May 17, 2026. The examination will be held in two shifts, as has been the case in previous years. This examination is considered the final and most important stage for admission to the country’s prestigious IIT institutions.

At first glance, the JEE Advanced 2026 syllabus is almost identical to the JEE Advanced 2025 syllabus.
There have been no new changes in the topics of all three subjects. This has brought relief to students who were already preparing according to the Advanced pattern. According to coaching institutes, the stable syllabus will make it easier for students to formulate their strategies.

According to education expert ALLEN of, there are two topics in the Chemistry syllabus that will be asked only in JEE Advanced 2026. These are the topics:

Are not included in the JEE Main 2026 syllabus
Are also not part of the CBSE Class 12 board curriculum

Experts advise students to begin preparing for these two topics only after their JEE Main and board exams. Focusing on the core topics of Physics, Organic, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry in the initial stages will be more beneficial.
These specific units are important only from the perspective of the Advanced exam, so dedicating excessive time to them beforehand is not necessary.
With the syllabus released, Students now have approximately five months to completely focus on the JEE Advanced pattern, high-level problems, and mock tests.
