Application process for first attempt ends
More than 8.50 lakh aspirants have registered themselves for the first attempt of the country’s biggest engineering entrance exam, JEE-Main 2022, which will be conducted twice in April and May this year.
The first attempt of JEE Main 2022 exam is proposed to be held between April 21 and May 4 this year. The application process for the first round of JEE Main 2022 has ended today.
All these students will have to apply again for the second attempt of JEE Main 2022 if they wish to attempt for the second attempt also.
Amit Ahuja, career counseling expert of Allen Career Institute said that most of the students are likely to apply for both the attempts of JEE Main this year since there will be only two attempts of JEE Mains this year instead of 4 attempts like last year (2021).
“Since there will be only 2 attempts this year so every aspirant will try to take advantage of it and may attempt both the attempts”, he said.
After giving both the attempts, the AIR for admissions into NITs will be decided on the basis of the higher qualifying NTA score of the 2 attempts, he said. However, the application number of the students applying for both the attempts is likely to remain the same since most aspirants of the first attempt are likely to appear in the second attempt also.
The exam cities for the first attempt of JEE-Main will be announced soon so that the students can make proper travel arrangements according to the exam city. The admit cards for the first attempt of JEE-Main will be issued in the second week of April.
