In-depth Analysis of JEE Main 24th June 2022 Question Paper analysis by ALLEN Director BM Sir

JEE Main-2022, the country’s biggest engineering entrance exam for admission to the BE-BTech course, commenced on Friday in computer-based mode. Brijesh Maheshwari Sir, Director, Allen Career Institute said that the analysis of the paper has been done on the basis of the feedback of the students and the responses received on CSAT. According to the students, the morning shift paper was moderate on the first day. The maths paper was easy but the students had to spend a lot of time on it. The Physics paper was also moderate while the Chemistry paper was the easiest. The pattern of the paper remained the same as last year. Total AIR-type questions also appeared in the paper in which one was from Physics and two were from Chemistry. Almost all the topics were covered in all three subjects. The paper for the 2nd shift remained like the morning shift paper. Maths was a bit lengthy, Physics was medium and Chemistry was easy. Questions were asked from JEE Main specific topics in all subjects.

Answers were getting autosaved

On the first day of JEE Main, the students had to face some technical glitches while attempting the paper. There was a problem due to interface change. Apart from this, the students were going to the next question after ticking and the answers to the questions were being auto-saved. The logo of the next question was appearing on the right side of the screen. Apart from this, 25 percent of the screen space was covered by a palette (palette, which contains options for questions). Too much time was being spent in zooming in and zooming out the questions.

Physics Paper was moderate

Two questions were asked theory based on the morning shift. Mechanics had more weightage in the paper. Apart from this, questions were asked on many topics of JEE Mains syllabus. Such as optical instruments, semiconductors and communication systems,s etc. One question each was asked from Diffraction and EM Wave.

Chemistry Paper was overall Easy

Chemistry paper overall was easy but many NCERT-based informative questions were asked. One question was match the column and the other was AIR type question. Apart from this, two questions were asked from Aromatic, and one each from Biomolecule, Polymer, Chemistry in Everyday Life, Solid State, Thermodynamics, Chemical Kinetics, Chemical Equilibrium, and Environmental Chemistry. In the 2nd shift, 8-10 questions in Chemistry were asked from NCERT.

Maths was also Moderate

The conic section had more weightage in the Maths paper. Questions were asked from Inverse Trigonometry and Definite Integration. Taking the special topic of JEE Main Boolean Expression and Mean-Variance, other topics of JEE Main were covered. It took 70 to 80 minutes to solve the paper even in the 2nd shift.
