JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Exam Dates Revised

NTA has Changed the JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Dates to Avoid Clash with CBSE Board Examination

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the Exam Dates for the Common Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 session 2. As per the revised schedule, the JEE Main 2024 Session 2 examinations will now be held between April 4- 15, 2024. The JEE Main 2024 session 2 was preliminarily listed to be held between April 1- 15, 2024.

The decision to change the test dates of JEE Main 2024 Session 2 (April Session) has been taken in a view to avoid clash with CBSE Class 12 board 2024 Examinations. CBSE had asked the NTA to change the JEE Main session 2 test dates since the CBSE Class 12 board examinations and JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Exam dates were colliding with each other.

In order to avoid a clash with CBSE class 12 examinations listed to be held on April 1 and 2, 2024, the NTA has decided to revise examination dates of JEE Main session 2, which will now be held from April 4, 2024.

JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Registration Underway

The Registration process JEE Main 2024 Session 2 began on February 2, 2024, and will remain open till March 2, 2024. The results of the alternate session of JEE Main will be declared on April 25, 2024.

JEE (Main) test is conducted in two sessions. The session 1 of the test concluded on February 1, 2024. The results of the session 1 are anticipated to be released on February 12, 2024. The JEE test comprises two papers. Paper 1(B.E./B.Tech.) is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes(B.E/B. Tech) at NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded specialized institutions.

JEE (Main) Paper 1 also acts as an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs. JEE (Main) Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses.
