JoSAA Counseling 2024 Students’ Woes Increased, Know Why?

Students Facing Problems, As JoSAA Not Releasing the Contact Details of the Verification Authority

JoSAA Counselling 2024 is underway for 59 thousand 917 seats in 121 institutions including IITs, NITs, and IIITs of the country. The time for online reporting of the first round seat allocation by JoSAA has ended.

If any deficiency is found in the documents uploaded by the students during online reporting, JoSAA informs them by sending a query.

Those students, who have received any query from JoSAA 2024 after finding deficiencies in the documents uploaded in online reporting after first round of seat allocation,

They have to respond to that query by 26th June 5 PM and upload the correct documents asked for, otherwise their allotted seat will be cancelled, and they will be out of all the subsequent rounds of JoSAA counselling.

This year JoSAA has neither provided any contact number of the verification authority nor any email ID where students can directly contact for the queries received during verification.

Whereas in previous years their contact numbers were provided where students could contact them whenever required for the queries received in online reporting and solve their problems.

Students Confused Over Not Getting Confirmation of Seat Verification

After completing all three steps for their allotted seat during online reporting in JoSAA counseling 2024, students are seen waiting for seat confirmation after JoSAA verifies documents.

The reason is that there are many students who have completed the entire process by reporting online but till now all their documents have not been verified and neither has the confirmation of their allotted seat come, in such a situation these students are confused.

Opportunity to change counseling option

Students, who were allotted seats in the first round and have chosen float, slide and freeze options by reporting online, have been given the opportunity to change their first counseling option again in the online reporting of the first round.

Students who wish to switch over from float, slide and freeze options to further counselling can do so by logging in to the counselling option provided on the website and switching over their counselling options till 5 pm on 26 June.

Students can participate in further counselling by changing the float option to slide and freeze and the slide option to float and freeze, and freeze to float or slide.
