JoSAA Counselling 2024 Second Round Reporting Till July 2

Boys With AIR 9,13,379 & Girls With AIR 10,94,961 Will Get Admission in NIT

JoSAA counselling 2024 for 59 thousand 917 seats in 121 institutes including Top IITs and NITs of the country is underway. Students can do online reporting after the second round of seat allocation till 5 pm on July 2.

Students, whose documents uploaded during online reporting are found to be deficient, will have to respond to the query received by 5 pm on July 3, otherwise their seat will be cancelled.

In the second round of seat allocation of JoSAA Counselling 2024, a student with rank 9 lakh 13 thousand 379 from gender neutral pool quota has been allotted civil branch from home state quota in NIT Sikkim in open category.

Along with this, the closing rank of IIT from gender-neutral pool quota was 15 thousand 955 which is of Interdisciplinary Science five-year branch of IIT Dhanbad.

On the other hand, a student with rank 10 lakh 94 thousand 961 including super numerical seats from female pool quota has got civil branch from home state quota in NIT Sikkim in open category.

Along with this, the closing rank of IIT from female pool quota was 24 thousand 420 which is of Interdisciplinary Science five-year branch of Dhanbad.

Dual Verification

Those students, who have been allotted seats from IIT to NIT and NIT to IIT in the second round, their documents uploaded in the first round of seat allocation are being verified again by the newly allotted system. Only after that, their newly allotted seat will be confirmed.

On the contrary, those students who have already been allotted seats and have chosen the option of float and slide, have been allotted seats from IIT to IIT and NIT to NIT in the second round and their new seat has been confirmed on the basis of their previously verified documents.

All these students will not be able to make any claim on their first round allotted seat if a new seat is allotted. All these students are also not required to upload documents again in online reporting.

Students can participate in further counselling by changing the float option to slide and freeze and the slide option to freeze in each round of Counselling.
