The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has begun the second round of NEET 2016 Counseling from September 9, 2016. Candidates, who during the first counseling did not get a seat, can now claim their choices for MBBS and BDS colleges. The seat allotment for round 2 will be declared on September 12, 2016. Due to non joining and resignation, as many as 1886 MBBS and BDS seats are vacant after first counseling of NEET 2016.
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has constituted a Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) for allotment of 15% All India Quota MBBS and BDS seats through centralized NEET counseling 2016. The counseling is conducted in online mode for allotment of around 3850 MBBS and BDS seats. Only those candidates are eligible to appear in AIPMT/NEET counseling 2016 who have been declared qualified by examination authority Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
