NEET UG 2024 Counselling was Earlier Scheduled to Start from July 6
In a major move, the much anticipated National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 counselling was postponed today till further orders.
Amid raging row over the NEET UG 2024, the NEET UG 2024 Counselling was under dock and now it has been deferred. Earlier, the NEET UG 2024 counselling was likely to begin from July 6 but now it has been put on hold.
There were allegations of irregularities in the NEET UG 2024 which seems to have prompted postponement of the coveted examination. The Supreme Court will hear multiple pleas challenging NEET UG 2024 Examination on July 8.

The NEET UG Counselling process comprises several rounds including stray vacancy rounds and mop-up rounds.
Eligible students who have cleared the medical entrance test must first complete registration and fee payment for NEET UG counselling. Subsequently, they need to fill in their choices, lock them, upload necessary documents, and personally report to the allotted institute.

In addition, NEET UG counselling under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) covers seats available at government colleges, central and deemed universities, seats reserved for children of Insured Persons (IP quota) in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) medical colleges, and seats at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune.
