NIT IIIT CSAB Counselling 2023: Registration & Choice Filling Started

After JoSAAA Counselling CSAB has started registration and choice filling of two special rounds of Counselling for the vacant seats of 93 top engineering institutes including NIT-IIIT. Students can do registration and choice filling till 12 noon on 8th August. The first allotment of CSAB Counselling will be released on August 8 at 8 pm.

Those students who were earlier out of JoSAA Counselling 2023 for not completing their board eligibility, now if they have completed their board eligibility through board improvement or re-evaluation, then according to the notice of the CSAB, they will now have to inform NIT Rourkela about completion of their board eligibility through e-mail.

These students will have to send their new mark sheet with ID proof. NIT Rourkela will check their board eligibility to verify it. After that these students can participate in CSAB Counselling and they will be allotted college on the basis of their rank.

During the online registration of CSAB counselling, students will have to fill the necessary information, deposit the participation fee and do the college choice filling. The participation fee for this Counselling has been kept at Rs. 44000 for general, OBC, and EWS and Rs. 24000 for ST-SC.

Those students, who want to participate in the special round Counselling by depositing their partial admission fee in JoSAA Counselling to secure the allotted college seat, they will have to deposit participation fee of Rs.4000 for each category in this Counselling.

Along with this, such students, who have deposited the seat acceptance fee during the online reporting of JoSAA Counselling and later got the seat withdrawn or cancelled, will also have to deposit the participation fee of Rs. 11,000.

JoSAA Seat Will Be Cancelled After Getting New Seat

In the choice filling of CSAB special round counselling, students should fill as many college choices as per their interest, since the seat matrix released on the website is only approximate and more seats are also likely to remain vacant.

Also, if the students, who were allotted any college seat in JoSAA Counselling, are participating in the special round of Counselling and if they do not get a better college seat than their allotted seat, they will be re-allotted the college seat which was allotted to them in JoSAAA Counselling.

In such a situation, these students should fill only those college branches in their priority list, which are better than the JoSAA college seat which they got in the past since if they are allotted a new college branch in CSAB Counselling, then their earlier allotted JoSAA seat will be cancelled and the newly found college seat will be considered as final.
