Last there were 40 GFTIs in the JoSAA Counselling while 46 GFTIs will participate in JoSAA Counseling 2025
JEE Advanced 2025 examination will be conducted on 18 May, and its result will be declared on 2 June 2025. After the announcement of the JEE Advanced 2025 results, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) Counseling would begin from 3 June and conclude until 10 June.
Through JoSAA counseling, seats are allocated for IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTI. JoSAA Counseling is conducted in several rounds. The first result of the JoSAA Counseling 2025 is expected to be out on 12 June 2025.
The JoSAA Counseling 2025 website has been updated recently. Last year, the JoSAA Counselling was held for over 5100 seats of IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. The JoSAA Counseling will be conducted for 52000 seats this year including 23 Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), 32 National Institute of Technology (NITs), 26 Indian Institution of Information Technology (IITs) and 40 Government Funded TechnicaL Institutions (GFTIs). Now this year, 6 more GFTIs will participate in JoSAA Counseling which means that total 46 GFTIs will participate in the JoSAA Counseling.
Since the notification of JoSAA has not arrived so it cannot be predicted which 6 more GFTIs will join JoSAA counseling 2025. Meanwhile, the seats in 5 IITs will also increase for participation in JoSAA Counseling 2025. These 5 IITs include IIT Jammu, IIT Palakkad, IIT Tirupati, Bhilai and IIT Dharwar. The JoSAA Counseling 2025 will be conducted for country’s top 127 technical education institutes of the country.
The JoSAA Counseling schedule is expected to be released soon. Allen Career Institute has prepared a tentative counseling schedule for JoSAA which student can see to have an idea about the JoSAA Counseling. For participation in the JoSAA Counseling 2025, the aspirant needs to qualify JEE Main or JEE Advanced 2025.
The aspirant must also register on the JoSAA 2025 website and fill in their choices of programs and institutions. The aspirant must keep an eye on the JoSAA Counseling schedule for updates, important dates and deadlines
