IIT Guwahati will conduct JEE Advanced examination for the academic year 2016. The dates for the examination will be declared soon.
The authorities are still in the process of finalising the events required for conducting the exam properly. Last year the examination was conducted by IIT Delhi.
JEE Advanced which is the second stage of examination for admission in Indian Institute of Technology is conducted by seven zonal IITs under Joint Admission Board.
According to reports, around top 1.5 lakh rank holders clearing the first stage- JEE Main are eligible for this exam.
However, the decision will depend on the outcome of the new proposal put forward by IITs to go back to the older system of single exam pattern. if the proposal is accepted then students would have to give one exam instead of two stages of exams to secure a seat in IITs.
