The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced that the NEET UG 2026 rescheduled exam will be held on Sunday, June 21st, 2026. This decision was made after the exam, held on May 3rd, 2026, was cancelled due to allegations of paper leaks.

Over 2.2 million students appeared for the exam, and since the cancellation of the NEET Exam, all candidates have been waiting for a new exam date and further procedures.

Now, the NTA has put an end to all speculation by releasing a new exam schedule.

Important Advice from the NTA for Students and Parents

What will be the Impact on the Medical Admission Process?

NEET UG is India’s largest medical entrance exam, providing admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other medical courses.

Strict measures will be taken to maintain transparency in the exam. Following the paper leak controversy, it is likely that more stringent security measures will be implemented this time.

According to reports, additional monitoring, digital security systems, and strict verification procedures may be implemented at exam centres to prevent any irregularities in the future.

The announcement of the new date for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination has brought great relief to millions of students. The exam will now be held on June 21, 2026, and candidates should fully concentrate on their preparations.
