Amidst corona, there was a lot of uproar regarding exam conduction; where mostly everyone demanded cancellation. However, in a turn of changed events, students are gathering in the majority and demanding conduction of board exam in 2021.
Reports suggest that students have been constantly reaching out in large numbers to the education minister, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal, and the official Twitter account of CBSE, demanding to conduct the board exams.
Owing to COVID-19, the 2020 exams for class 10 were canceled and the class 12 students were given the option for taking correction exams. CBSE’s last announcement in regards to the form correction deadlines stated, “The last chance for students to change the city/centre on CBSE and CTET exam forms is from 07.11.2020 to 16.11.2020”. This tweet was made on November 4 and post that there has been no update on the same.
The time table for Class 10 and Class 12 streams, Arts, Commerce, and Science, will be released on the official website of CBSE.
Earlier, CBSE had even announced about reducing the syllabus for 2020-2021 for classes 9 to 12. The notification released from CBSE stated, “The changes made in the syllabi have been finalized by the respective course committees with the approval of the curriculum committee and the governing body of the board”.
While this announcement certainly is a relief for students but unless there is clarity over the exam dates, things still remain in a quandary for the students.
Moreover, it has been reported that the board exam will hold primacy over when NTA conducts JEE Main and NEET Exams. This is the reason students are so hyped and demanding CBSE to take a final call.
