CBSE also released marking scheme for the board exams
CBSE Sample Papers 2026-27: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Class 10 and Class 12 Sample Question Papers (SQPs) and Marking Schemes (MS) for the 2027 Board Examinations. Students can access the subject-wise sample papers and marking schemes through the official CBSE Academic website.
The CBSE sample papers are an important resource for students preparing for the upcoming board examinations as they provide an overview of the question paper format, types of questions and marking pattern.
Students appearing for the CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2027 can use these official papers to understand the examination structure and plan their preparation accordingly.
According to education experts, there has been no major change in the marking scheme or question paper outline in the latest CBSE sample papers. The sample papers give students an indication of the pattern that can be expected in the 2027 board examinations.
For the 2026 Board Examination, CBSE had released the sample question papers and marking schemes in July 2025. This year, the release has taken place around two months later. However, the delay has not resulted in any significant change in the marking scheme or question paper structure.
The Class 12 sample papers for subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology have been prepared in line with the approach of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The papers include questions that require students to apply concepts and use logical reasoning rather than relying only on memorisation.
Students will need a strong understanding of the subject and its concepts to solve such questions effectively. The pattern is likely to benefit students who focus on conceptual clarity and regular practice instead of simply memorising answers.
CBSE has also prepared question papers keeping the needs of visually impaired students in consideration. This reflects the board’s effort to make the examination process accessible to students with different learning requirements.
The availability of official sample papers well ahead of the board examinations also gives students sufficient time to familiarise themselves with the format and practise accordingly.
The Class 12 Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology sample papers also contain different question formats, including assertion-reasoning questions, single-correct-answer objective questions and paragraph-based questions.
Similar question formats are also used in competitive entrance examinations such as JEE Main, NEET UG and CUET UG. Therefore, Class 12 students preparing simultaneously for board examinations and entrance tests can use these sample papers for additional practice.
The question papers of recent years have maintained a reasonable level of difficulty, while Physics has included questions that can be challenging for students. Such questions generally require students to understand concepts and apply the right formula or approach rather than simply recall information.
The latest sample paper can therefore help students identify the type of conceptual questions they may encounter and improve their problem-solving approach before the CBSE Board Exams 2027.
