There was hearsay about declaration of the CBSE result in the last week of April
The wait is soon coming to an end for the lakhs of students who appeared for the Senior Secondary examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
The Board’s evaluation process for answer scripts is currently in its final stages, and preparations for the declaration of results are proceeding rapidly.
According to CBSE Controller of Examinations, Sanyam Bhardwaj, there is a strong likelihood that the Class 12 results will be declared during the third week of May.
The Board has categorically refuted recent media reports claiming delays in the evaluation process or citing technical glitches.
The Board has clarified that the ‘On-Screen Marking’ (OSM) system is functioning smoothly, and all work is being completed well within the stipulated timeframe.
One of the primary reasons for the early release of results this year is the On-Screen Marking System. Introduced last year, this technology enables the evaluation of answer scripts directly on computer screens.
Consequently, the time required for evaluation has been reduced from 12 days to approximately 9 days. This technology not only accelerates the process but also minimizes the possibility of human error.
According to CBSE regulations, Class 12 students are required to secure a minimum of 33 percent marks separately in both the Theory and Practical examinations to be declared ‘Pass’.
However, if a student fails to secure the minimum marks in one or two subjects, there is no need for them to be disheartened.
The Board will conduct Supplementary or Compartment examinations for such students in the month of August, thereby providing them with another opportunity to save their academic year. Official Channels to View Results
