Here’s How to Download and Compare Your Answers

A major update has emerged regarding JEE Advanced 2026, considered the country’s most prestigious engineering entrance exam.

Recorded response sheets have been released for the millions of candidates who appeared for the exam. Students can now view their answers online and estimate their potential scores. The response sheets can be downloaded from jeeadv.ac.in.

The release of the recorded response sheets has generated considerable excitement among students, as this stage is considered the most important opportunity to understand their performance before the results are announced.

Candidates will now be able to compare their answers with the upcoming provisional answer key and estimate their expected scores.

What is a Recorded Response Sheet?

The Recorded Response Sheet is a document that contains all the answers selected by a candidate during the exam.  It is released by the exam conducting body on its official website so that students can transparently check their attempts.

This sheet is extremely important for students, as it helps them estimate their probable rank and score.

How to Download JEE Advanced 2026 Recorded Response

Candidates can download the recorded responses by visiting the official portal and following a few simple steps.

First, visit the official website. Click on the “Recorded Response Sheet” link. Enter your registration number, date of birth, and password. After logging in, your response sheet will appear on the screen, which can be downloaded and saved for future reference.

Students are advised to save a PDF copy of the response sheet on both their system and mobile phone, so that it can be easily matched when the answer key is released.

Provisional Answer Keys Will Estimate Scores

After the release of the recorded responses, candidates are now looking at the provisional answer key. Once the provisional answer key is released, students will be able to compare their answers and calculate their probable scores.

Provisional answer key of JEE Advanced 2026 will be released on 25th May. The correction window for Provisional answer key will be opened on 25 May and will remain open till 26th May.

If a candidate has an objection to a question or answer, they can submit an objection online within the stipulated time limit. Experts believe that sometimes, final answers are modified following objections raised by students.

How was the JEE Advanced 2026 paper this year?

The level of the exam this year was considered moderate to difficult. Many students reported that the Maths section was relatively difficult, while Physics was dominated by conceptual questions. The Chemistry section was considered balanced.

According to experts, students who focused on time management and concept-based preparation performed better. The exam included multi-correct, integer, and matching-based questions, testing the depth of students’ preparation.

Important advice for students before the results

Students are advised to avoid rumours and unofficial data at this time. Seek information only from the official website and reliable sources.

In addition, candidates should analyse their expected scores and begin gathering information about the counselling process and preferred IITs. This will make it easier to make decisions after the results are announced.

Following the release of the provisional answer key, objections will be reviewed and the final answer key will be published, followed by the declaration of results on 1st June ths year.

With the release of the results, the All India Rank (AIR), Category Rank (Category Rank), and JoSAA counselling process will begin. Successful candidates will be eligible for admission to the country’s prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology.
