JEE Advanced 2026 Registration Begins

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has officially commenced the registration process for JEE Advanced 2026. Candidates who have qualified in JEE Main 2026 can now apply by visiting the official website, jeeadv.ac.in.

This is a significant update for the lakhs of students preparing for engineering entrance examinations, as JEE Advanced is considered the primary gateway for admission into the country’s prestigious IITs. Consequently, eligible candidates should complete the application process without delay to avoid any last-minute complications.

To apply for JEE Advanced 2026, candidates must log in using their JEE Main 2026 application number and password. Upon logging in, candidates are required to carefully fill in all the personal, academic, and contact details requested in the application form.

Candidates belonging to reserved categories must also upload their valid category certificates during the application process. According to the information released by the institute, the deadline for submitting the application form is set for 2 May, 2026; therefore, all eligible candidates should complete the process well within the stipulated time.

How to Fill Out the JEE Advanced 2026 Application Form

  1. To fill out the JEE Advanced 2026 application form, candidates must first visit the official website jeeadv.ac.in.
  2. There, they need to click on the registration link designated for candidates who have qualified in JEE Main 2026.
  3. Subsequently, they must log in by entering their JEE Main 2026 application number and password.
  4. After logging in, candidates must fill in all the necessary information requested in the application form, including personal details, academic qualifications, and contact information.
  5. Additionally, they are required to upload a passport-sized photograph, a scanned copy of their signature, and—if applicable—their category certificate.
  6. Finally, candidates must pay the application fee using the available online payment options.
  7. Once the application has been successfully submitted, retaining a printout of the form will prove beneficial for future reference and subsequent stages of the admission process.

Who Can Apply for JEE Advanced 2026?

To appear for JEE Advanced 2026, it is mandatory for candidates to fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria. Only those students who have secured a rank within the top 2.5 lakh in JEE Main 2026, or who have obtained marks exceeding the official cut-off, will be eligible to apply. This condition ensures that only qualified and competitive students advance to the next stage of this examination.

Regarding the age limit, candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 2001. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories have been granted an age relaxation, with their date of birth eligibility set as October 1, 2006, or later.

Furthermore, candidates must have passed their Class 12th or an equivalent examination in either 2025 or 2026, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their core subjects. Only students who fulfill these criteria will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2026.

JEE Advanced 2026 Application Fee

In terms of the application fee for JEE Advanced 2026, the fee has been fixed at ₹3,200 for candidates belonging to the unreserved category. Conversely, for female candidates and those belonging to the SC, ST, and PwD categories, the application fee has been set at ₹1,600.

Candidates should note that merely filling out the application form is not sufficient; it is also mandatory to submit the fee within the stipulated timeframe. The deadline for fee payment has been set for May 4, 2026. If a candidate fails to submit the fee on time, their application may be deemed incomplete.

JEE Advanced 2026 Exam Date

The JEE Advanced 2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted on May 17, 2026. Consequently, candidates who have not yet applied should complete the registration process as soon as possible and bring their exam preparation to its final stage.
