Check the NIOS Class 12 Result on the Official Website of NIOS
This is a crucial moment for millions of students across the country who appeared for the board exams, held between April 10 and May 6, 2026.
All students who appeared for the exam can now check their scorecards by visiting the institute’s main results portal, results.nios.ac.in.
This result, posted live on the website, is in the form of a provisional marksheet. Students’ original marksheets will be distributed through their respective NIOS Regional Centers in the coming days.
The National Institute of Open Schooling is one of India’s three major national education boards, along with the CBSE and CISCE. It is an autonomous institution operating under the Union Ministry of Education.
NIOS is the world’s largest open schooling system, with over 4 million students enrolled in the last five years alone. This board provides equal educational opportunities to students who are unable to attend regular school due to social, economic, or geographical reasons.
Its Class 12th examination is officially known as the Senior Secondary Public Examination.
Regarding previous data, the April session results, announced on June 16, 2025, saw a total pass percentage of 73.72 percent. The pass percentage for this year, i.e., 2026, will also be updated on the portal soon.

Early Announcement: This year, NIOS released the 12th results on June 5, 2026, almost two weeks earlier than last year (June 16, 2025). This is one of the fastest results released by the board in recent years.
Rechecking & Revaluation: For students who are dissatisfied with their marks, the scrutiny and revaluation window will open on June 10, 2026.
Students can apply for rechecking by paying a fee of ₹300 per subject. Additionally, they can also obtain a photocopy of their evaluated answer sheets by paying ₹1,000 per subject.

Supplementary and Correction Exam Opportunity: Students who failed to pass one or more subjects in the April-May 2026 session should not despair.
Such students can appear for the October-November session examination to be held this year, with results expected around January 2027.
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) conducted the Class 12 April-May 2026 examinations from April 10 to May 6, 2026. Following the completion of the examination process, the NIOS Class 12 Result 2026 was officially declared on June 5, 2026, allowing students to access their scorecards online.

Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for rechecking of their answer scripts from June 10, 2026. The application window for rechecking will remain open until June 25, 2026. During this period, candidates can submit their requests through the official NIOS portal by paying the prescribed fee.
In addition to rechecking, NIOS has also opened the result correction facility from June 10, 2026. Students who find any discrepancies in their personal details, subject information, or other particulars in the mark sheet can apply for corrections within 30 days from the commencement of the correction process.
