The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu, released the TN HSC Result 2026 today, May 8, 2026. The wait for millions of students across the state is now over.

Students who took the Tamil Nadu Class 12 Board Exam 2026 can now check their results by visiting the official website, tnresults.nic.in.

The Tamil Nadu Board announced the results through a press conference. During the press conference, board officials shared the overall pass percentage, district-level performance, student success rates, and other important information.

The results were met with excitement among students and parents across the state.

Tamil Nadu 12th Board Exams Held in March

The Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Board Exams 2026 were held from March 2 to March 26, 2026. The exams were conducted at 3,412 examination centers across the state.

A total of 827,475 students registered for the exam this year. This included approximately 7.99 lakh regular students, while 27,783 private candidates also participated. The successful conduct of the exam on such a large scale is considered a significant achievement for the Tamil Nadu Education Department.

Students can check their scorecards online after the results are released. Students will need to enter their registration number and other required login details to check the results.

The marksheets released online will be provisional. The original marksheets will be made available to students later through their respective schools. Students are advised to preserve the printout of the results after downloading them.

Click on the “TN HSC Result 2026” link displayed on the homepage.
Now, enter your login details in the new window.
Then click the “Submit” button.
Your TN Class 12 Result 2026 will appear on the screen.
Download the result and save a printout for future reference.
