NEET 2026 Dress Code: Prepare in Advance

To avoid any rush or stress on exam day, it’s important to decide on your dress code now.

Dress Code for Boys

Wear half-sleeved T-shirts or shirts
Clothes should be simple and plain
Collarless T-shirts or shirts without heavy designs are preferred
Wear lowers or trousers with minimal pockets
Avoid multi-pocket pants
Wear open-toe slippers or simple slippers
Avoid boots, heavy sandals, or heels

Dress Code for Girls

Wear half-sleeved tops, T-shirts, or kurtas

Clothes should be light and without bulky hems

Religious Attire

What to Bring to the Exam

It is crucial to have the correct documents with you on the exam day. Without these, you will not be allowed to enter.

Printed copy of the admit card
Passport-size photo (the same one uploaded in the form)
Postcard-size photo (to be pasted on the second page of the admit card)
Valid identity card (Aadhaar card is the best option)
Relevant certificate for PwD category candidates
Please remember not to sign the admit card in advance. Signing must be done at the exam centre in the presence of an invigilator.
What is prohibited for the exam

Some items are strictly prohibited and may cause problems:

Mobile phones or any electronic devices
Pens, pencils, or any stationery items
Wallets, purses, or bags
Any paper or notes
Food and drink (only transparent water bottles are allowed)

Carry only transparent water bottles
No stickers or labels on the bottle
Do not add glucose or other substances to the water
If you must carry money, carry only notes. Do not carry a wallet, and make sure there is no writing on the notes.

Time: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Last Entry Time: 1:30 PM
It’s best to arrive at the exam center on or before 1:00 PM.
