The NEET Paper was of Average Difficulty

NEET-2026, the country’s biggest medical entrance examination was conducted on Sunday. Vinod Kumawat, President of ALLEN Career Institute, Kota, stated that based on feedback received from students, the difficulty level of the paper was slightly higher than that of NEET-2024, yet easier compared to NEET-2025.

According to feedback gathered from online polls, approximately 34 percent of students described the paper as easy, while 58 percent rated it as being of moderate difficulty. Only eight percent of students the paper as difficult. The paper was based on the NCERT syllabus.

Time management proved to be a challenge in the Physics paper, as both speed and a strong conceptual foundation were essential.

The Physics questions ranged from moderate to difficult in complexity. Calculations involved in the numerical-based questions were somewhat challenging.

In the Chemistry paper, relatively easy questions were asked from Organic Chemistry. Notably, not a single question in this section was statement-based.

There was a higher number of questions requiring “Match the Column” type responses. 17 questions were asked from Physical Chemistry, meaning that 37 percent of the entire paper was derived from this section; this included two “Match the Column” questions as well.

The Biology paper was based on the NCERT syllabus and proved to be a high-scoring section. The overall difficulty level of the paper ranged from easy to moderate.
