Under ALLEN’s Shiksha Sambal programme, he received free coaching along with free boarding and lodging.
One such inspiring journey, from education to empowerment, has emerged from Kapren town in Bundi district near Education city Kota.
Suraj, a resident of Kapren, has cracked NEET and is now set to take admission to a Government Medical College. What makes his achievement even more remarkable is that, to support his financially struggling family, Suraj Suman worked as a house painter in villages and small towns to help his mother earn a livelihood.
Under the Shiksha Sambal programme, jointly run by ALLEN Career Institute and the LN Maheshwari Philanthropic Trust, Suraj received free NEET coaching at ALLEN along with free boarding and lodging.

Speaking about his journey, Suraj said, “Shiksha Sambal has truly become the real support of my life. Had this programme not existed, I probably would never have imagined preparing for NEET at ALLEN Kota with such excellent facilities.
It has been the turning point of my life, where my dream is now about to come true. I received facilities here that were even better than I had expected throughout the year, and every need was taken care of.
Due to our difficult financial circumstances, my sister had to discontinue her studies. Now, I will ensure that she resumes her education.”
Congratulating Suraj on his success, Naveen Maheshwari, Director of ALLEN and Trustee of the LN Maheshwari Philanthropic Trust, said, “Building students’ careers is our core objective, and we are making every possible effort towards it.
Students from Hindi-medium government schools often lag behind due to a lack of opportunities and resources. We started this programme three years ago especially for them, and it is gratifying to see such positive outcomes.”

Suraj Saini’s success, achieved amidst poverty, deprivation, and constant struggle, is a victory of his family’s sacrifices, perseverance, and hope. At an age when most students spend all their time with books, Suraj balanced his studies with a paintbrush in his hands.
During vacations and in his spare time, he worked as a painter to contribute to the family’s income. Meanwhile, his mother, Ghisi Bai, and younger sister, Garima, worked as agricultural labourers to shoulder the family’s responsibilities.
Suraj scored 87% in Class 10 and 85% in Class 12. Biology was his favourite subject, and he had dreamt of becoming a doctor since childhood.
However, his family’s financial condition was the biggest obstacle in his path. Meeting even the family’s daily expenses was difficult, making the cost of medical coaching unaffordable. During this time, Suraj visited ALLEN Kota to inquire about coaching.
There, he came to know about the Shiksha Sambal scheme run by the LN Maheshwari Philanthropic Trust. He appeared for the selection test and was selected. Thereafter, he received free NEET coaching at ALLEN Career Institute, while the LN Maheshwari Philanthropic Trust provided completely free accommodation and meals.

Suraj’s success is not just a story of academic excellence but also of an extraordinary struggle. Rather than compromising with circumstances, he chose to confront them. To support his family, he learned painting work and worked as a labourer during vacations to help meet household expenses.
The family’s financial condition was so weak that his younger sister, Garima, had to discontinue her studies after Class 8 because there were no facilities for further education in the village and the family could not afford to send her elsewhere.
She, too, began working alongside their mother as an agricultural labourer. Now, after a gap of one year, she will enrol in another school and resume her education.
