Chemistry and Physics were Medium and Maths was Long
The second session of the country’s largest engineering entrance exam JEE Main-April 2025 for admission to B.E.-B.Tech. course started on Wednesday.
The exam was conducted on computer based mode. Dr. Brajesh Maheshwari, Director, ALLEN Career Institute Private Limited, said that the paper has been analyzed on the basis of students’ feedback.
According to the information received from the students, the level of Chemistry, Physics and Maths was medium in the morning shift. 25-25 questions were asked in Physics, Chemistry and Maths, all the questions of section 2 were compulsory. Students did not face any technical problem on the first day. Maths paper was long in the evening shift.
The chemistry paper in the morning shift was moderate. 40 percent questions were asked from inorganic chemistry, 40 percent from physical chemistry and 20 percent from organic chemistry. Statement and matching list questions were also asked in single option questions in the paper.
The level of the paper in the evening shift was also moderate. In this, 30-30 percent questions were asked from inorganic and organic chemistry and 40 percent from physical chemistry.
In the morning shift paper, two questions each were asked from kinematics, rotational dynamics, geometrical optics, magnetic effect of current. While three questions each were asked from modern physics, electrostatics, elasticity, heat thermodynamics. One question each was asked from Newton’s Law, Current Electricity, Electromagnetic Waves and Wave Optics, Semiconductor and SHM.
In the evening shift, the level of the paper was medium. Three questions each were asked from Geometrical Optics, Electrostatics, Elasticity, Heat Thermodynamics and Modern Physics. While two questions each were asked from Unit and Dimension and Basic Mathematics and Vectors, Rotational Dynamics, Magnetic Effect of Current. One question each was asked from Kinematics, Newton’s Law, Fluid Mechanics, Gravitation, Waves on Stream and Semiconductor.
In the morning shift, the Maths paper was easy but lengthy. So it took time to solve the paper. 40 percent questions were asked from Algebra, 12 percent from Vector 3D, 16 from Coordinates, 24 percent from Calculus and 8 percent were mixed.
In the evening shift, the level of the paper was medium but lengthy. In this, 28 percent questions were asked from Algebra, 32 percent from Calculus, 12 percent from Coordinates, 8 percent from Trigonometry and 8 percent from mixed questions.
