MCC Releases NEET UG Counselling 2026 Schedule
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the schedule for NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 3 and the Stray Vacancy Round for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses through the central counselling process.
Candidates participating in the counselling can check the complete schedule and related notifications on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in.
According to the official schedule, the NEET UG Round 3 registration process will begin on September 22, 2026. Eligible candidates will be able to complete their registration and fee payment until 3 PM on September 27, 2026.
Candidates interested in participating in the third round should complete the registration process within the specified deadline.
The choice filling and locking process for NEET UG Round 3 will commence on September 23 and continue until September 28, 2026. During this period, candidates will have to select their preferred colleges and courses.
Candidates should carefully review their choices before locking them, as seat allotment will be carried out based on the choices submitted during counselling, along with rank and other applicable criteria.
MCC will conduct the Round 3 seat allotment processing from September 28 to September 29, 2026. The NEET UG Round 3 seat allotment result is scheduled to be released on September 30, 2026.
Candidates will be able to check their allotment status through the official MCC website using their login credentials.
Candidates who are allotted seats during Round 3 will have to report to their respective allotted colleges between October 1 and October 9, 2026.
They will need to complete the admission formalities and fulfil the requirements specified by the allotted institution within the reporting period.
The verification of joined candidates’ data by the participating institutes will be carried out on October 10, 2026.
Candidates eligible for NEET UG Round 3 can register by visiting the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in. After opening the website, candidates need to access the NEET UG counselling section and select the Round 3 registration link.
They will then have to enter the required details and complete the registration process. After successful registration, candidates can log in to fill out the counselling application form and submit their preferred choices.
The applicable counselling fee must also be paid within the prescribed period. After submitting the form, candidates should download the confirmation page and payment receipt for future reference.
Following the completion of Round 3 counselling, MCC will conduct the NEET UG 2026 Stray Vacancy Round to fill the seats remaining vacant after the regular counselling rounds.
The online registration process for the stray vacancy round is scheduled to begin on October 12, 2026, and will continue until October 14, 2026. Candidates who are eligible to participate should complete their registration within the specified dates.
The choice filling and locking process for the NEET UG Stray Vacancy Round will be conducted from October 12 to October 15, 2026. Candidates will have to submit their preferred courses and colleges during this window.
They should check the available seats and carefully finalise their choices before completing the locking process.
MCC will process the seat allotment for the Stray Vacancy Round from October 15 to October 16, 2026. The allotment result is scheduled to be announced on October 17, 2026. Candidates who receive a seat in this round will be required to follow the instructions issued by MCC and the allotted institution for completing the admission process.
Candidates allotted seats in the Stray Vacancy Round will have to report to their respective institutions between October 19 and October 26, 2026.
Candidates should carry the required documents and complete all admission-related formalities within the reporting period.
Failure to report within the prescribed timeline may affect the candidate’s admission as per the applicable counselling rules.
