Samarth Pote Jumps from AIR 81,768 in NEET 2025 to AIR 1,325 in NEET 2026
Samarth Pote, son of grocery store workers Narendra Pote and Archana Pote, will now study at the prestigious AIIMS Nagpur. Despite his family’s limited financial situation, Samarth Pote, through his hard work, dedication, and determination, has proven that even children from economically disadvantaged families can achieve great things in life.
Significant Improvement in NEET Scores After Joining Allen
Samarth Pote joined Allen in 2025 to begin his preparation after securing AIR 81,768 in NEET-UG 2025. He benefited from Allen’s teaching methodology and the guidance of faculty and mentors.
After just one year of NEET-UG coaching at Allen Career Institute in Nagpur, he performed brilliantly in NEET-UG 2026, securing AIR 1,325. Now, he has been admitted to AIIMS Nagpur, a major achievement for him and his family. The son of grocery store workers will now pursue his career as a doctor at AIIMS Nagpur.
Parents Work at a Grocery Store in the City
Samarth’s father, Narendra Pote, and mother, Archana Pote, work at a grocery store in Nagpur. Narendra earns a monthly salary of ₹10,000, while his wife, Archana, earns ₹8,000. Archana works at the store for about 9 hours a day, while Narendra works for more than 10 hours.
Samarth’s parents support a family of four, including their two sons, Samarth and younger son, Sarthak. When Samarth was studying in Grade 7, his mother, Archana, suffered a heart attack.
Doctors advised her to undergo heart surgery, but due to her family’s poor financial situation, she has been living on medication. Archana explained that her health has fluctuated since the heart attack.
Parents took a loan for their children’s education
Archana explained that to support the family and continue their education, she took a loan of approximately 2 lakh rupees in several small installments. The limited monthly income from working at a grocery store was difficult to cover the family’s expenses and the children’s education.
She said, “We have spent our entire lives struggling with limited financial circumstances, but we will not let our children struggle.”
Family lives in a one-room house, Samarth studied in a government school
Samarth’s family does not own a home, and his family of four rents a small one-room house in Nagpur city. Archana explained that her relatives often told her that instead of educating her children amid such financial difficulties, she should consider buying a house or property. However, the family prioritized their children’s education.
Samarth studied in a CBSE school until grade 4, but due to unfavorable financial circumstances, he was later admitted to a government school. While studying in a government school, Samarth successfully qualified for the NEET-UG. His younger brother, Sarthak, is currently studying in grade 9 at a government school.
Son’s becoming a doctor will change the family’s financial situation.
Samarth said that his parents have worked in grocery stores all their lives to support the family. Now that he is becoming a doctor, his dream is to provide his parents with all the comforts and happiness of life. He said that he will work hard to improve his family’s financial situation.
Allen Offers Fee Concession
Considering Samarth’s family’s financial situation, Allen provided him with a fee concession. Archana explained that the fee concession made it possible for her son to prepare for the NEET from Allen and successfully pass the NEET-UG.
Dr. Naveen Maheshwari, Founder of Allen Career Institute, said that Allen always supports talented students from economically disadvantaged families and strives to ensure that no talented student is deprived of educational opportunities. He said that it is a matter of great joy that Samarth, the son of grocery store workers, improved his performance in NEET-UG after studying at Allen and achieved a top rank.
