NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam: MCC Starts Round 1 Registration

Important Dates, Registration Fee, Choice Filling Process and Required Documents

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially commenced the NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 Registration process for eligible candidates.

Students who have qualified NEET UG 2026 can now apply for admission to MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, AIIMS, JIPMER, Central Universities, ESIC, AFMC, Deemed Universities, and 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats through the online counselling process.

Candidates must complete their registration within the prescribed deadline. Along with registration, they are also required to pay the counselling fee, fill in their preferred colleges and courses, and lock their choices before the last date.

How Will NEET UG Counselling 2026 Seat Allotment Be Done?

The seat allotment for NEET UG Counselling 2026 will be prepared based on several factors, including the candidate’s NEET UG 2026 rank, applicable reservation policy, preferences submitted during choice filling, and the availability of seats.

Candidates are advised to carefully arrange their college and course preferences, as these will play a crucial role in the allotment process.

NEET UG Counselling 2026 Registration Fee

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee along with the applicable security deposit during the counselling process. The registration fee is as follows:

How to Register for MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026?

Candidates can complete the registration process by following these simple steps:

  • Visit the official MCC counselling portal.
  • Open the UG Medical Counselling section.
  • Click on New Registration.
  • Enter your NEET UG 2026 application details.
  • Verify your personal information.
  • Fill out the online counselling application form.
  • Pay the registration fee through the online payment gateway.
  • Review the details and submit the application successfully.

Choice Filling Begins from August 6

After completing the registration process, candidates will be able to participate in Choice Filling from August 6, 2026.

During this stage, they can select their preferred medical colleges and courses, add multiple choices without any restriction, rearrange the order of preferences, and make modifications until the choice-locking window opens.

Once the choices are locked, no further changes will be permitted. Therefore, candidates should carefully review all their preferences before confirming them.

Documents Required for NEET UG Counselling 2026

Candidates should keep the following documents ready before beginning the registration process:

  • NEET UG 2026 Admit Card
  • NEET UG 2026 Scorecard
  • Class 10 Certificate
  • Class 12 Mark Sheet and Passing Certificate
  • Valid Government-issued Photo ID
  • Passport-size Photographs
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • PwBD Certificate (if applicable)
  • NRI Documents (if applicable)

What If the MCC Website Is Slow During Registration?

Heavy traffic on the counselling portal during the initial days may temporarily slow down the website. In such cases, candidates should avoid submitting the application multiple times.

Instead, they should wait for some time and try accessing the portal again during non-peak hours to complete the registration smoothly.
