State Quota NEET UG Counselling 2026 Schedule

Apart from the All India Quota counselling, state counselling authorities will conduct admissions for 85% state quota seats according to the following schedule:

Round 1: August 13 to August 22

Round 2: August 31 to September 8

Round 3: September 16 to September 26

Stray Vacancy Round: October 3 to October 5

Three Major Changes Introduced in MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026

No Physical Reporting for Upgradation

Candidates who opt for the “Willing to Upgrade” option after seat allotment are no longer required to physically report to the allotted college. Their existing seat will remain secured while they participate in subsequent counselling rounds.

Online Seat Resignation Facility

Candidates who wish to surrender their allotted seat can now submit their resignation online through the MCC counselling portal within the notified timeline, eliminating the need for physical submission.

Online Document Upload for NRI Candidates

Applicants seeking admission under the NRI quota can upload all supporting documents online through the MCC portal, making the verification process more convenient.

Academic Session Begins on September 8

According to the counselling schedule, the academic session for undergraduate medical courses across participating institutions will commence on September 8, 2026. Candidates are advised to complete all admission formalities within the stipulated deadlines to avoid cancellation of their allotted seats.
