Arnav secured success through Discipline, Smart Planning and Consistent Practice
Every NEET topper has a different story, and Arnav’s journey stands out because of the discipline, dedication and consistency he maintained throughout his preparation. Growing up in a family of doctors, he was naturally inspired by the medical profession.
Both his parents are doctors, and his elder sister is pursuing MBBS at AIIMS Nagpur. Initially fascinated by science, Arnav once dreamed of becoming a scientist after performing well in talent search examinations.
However, watching his parents treat patients and make a difference in people’s lives gradually motivated him to pursue medicine. This early exposure gave him a clear career goal long before he started preparing for NEET.
Building a Strong Academic Foundation from an Early Stage
Arnav believes that success in NEET starts much before Class 11. During his school years, he participated in several competitive examinations, including the Homi Bhabha Examination and various Olympiads.
Performing well in these competitions earned him appreciation and boosted his confidence. Instead of becoming complacent, these achievements encouraged him to work even harder.
The experience helped him develop analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and the confidence required to compete at the national level.
Beginning His NEET Journey with ALLEN
After completing Class 10, Arnav decided to join ALLEN for NEET preparation. Before taking admission, he appeared for the scholarship test, which helped him secure financial assistance. From the very beginning, he entered the classroom with only one objective – to perform exceptionally well in NEET.
Rather than worrying about the competition around him, he focused on attending every class sincerely, understanding each concept thoroughly and maintaining consistency throughout the two-year journey.
According to him, the disciplined classroom environment and healthy academic atmosphere at ALLEN played an important role in keeping him motivated.

Turning Competition into Motivation
Many students become discouraged after scoring low in tests, but Arnav used every setback as an opportunity to improve. Whenever his marks dropped in a test, he analysed his mistakes carefully instead of feeling disappointed.
He treated every low score as motivation to practise more questions and strengthen weak concepts. This mindset helped him improve steadily throughout his preparation.
For him, competition was never a source of pressure; it was a driving force that pushed him towards continuous improvement.
Consistency Was More Important Than Study Hours
Although Arnav studied for long hours during the final months, he believes consistency mattered far more than the number of hours spent with books. Apart from classroom coaching, he devoted nearly seven hours daily to self-study.
During the revision phase before the examination, his study time increased to around twelve hours a day. However, he never forced himself to follow unrealistic schedules.
Whenever his routine was disturbed, he compensated for the lost time over the following days rather than getting stressed. His focus remained on productive learning instead of simply counting study hours.

Family Support Became His Biggest Strength
Behind Arnav’s remarkable performance was the unwavering support of his family. Since his parents were busy with their medical profession, he stayed with his grandparents near his coaching centre during his preparation.
His grandparents took care of his daily routine, meals and study requirements so that he could focus entirely on academics. Even after his grandmother suffered a serious leg fracture, she continued supporting him throughout his preparation.
Arnav considers their emotional support and encouragement one of the biggest reasons behind his success.
Conceptual Clarity Helped Him Master Physics
Physics gradually became Arnav’s favourite subject because he concentrated on understanding concepts instead of memorising formulas.
He solved a large number of numerical problems, which helped him develop strong conceptual clarity. As his understanding improved, formulas became naturally memorised through repeated application.
According to him, solving questions consistently builds confidence and significantly reduces mistakes during the actual examination.
NCERT Became the Foundation of His Preparation
One of the most important lessons from Arnav’s preparation strategy is the importance of NCERT textbooks.
He relied heavily on NCERT for Biology and regularly revised every chapter, diagram and important line. Even in Chemistry, he focused on NCERT for Organic and Inorganic Chemistry, while Physical Chemistry required conceptual understanding and numerical practice.
During revision, he realised that many questions in NEET were directly based on NCERT concepts and examples. This reinforced his belief that mastering NCERT is essential for achieving a high score in NEET.

Subject-wise Strategy That Delivered Results
Arnav followed a different strategy for each subject instead of using a common approach. In Physics, he concentrated on solving previous years’ questions and mock tests to strengthen concepts.
For Biology, repeated reading of NCERT, revision of diagrams and careful attention to factual details formed the backbone of his preparation.
In Chemistry, he practised reaction mechanisms in Organic Chemistry, revised important series and facts in Inorganic Chemistry and focused on formulas and numerical practice in Physical Chemistry. This subject-specific strategy helped him maintain a balanced preparation across all three subjects.
Mock Tests Became the Real Game Changer
According to Arnav, mock tests played a crucial role in his success. He never considered mock tests merely as score-generating exercises. Instead, he treated every test as an opportunity to identify weaknesses.
After each examination, he carefully analysed every incorrect answer to understand whether the mistake resulted from conceptual confusion, calculation errors or careless reading.
This process of continuous improvement helped him eliminate recurring mistakes before the final examination.
Finding the Best Paper Attempt Strategy
Initially, Arnav attempted the paper in the order of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. However, after analysing his mock test performances, he realised that beginning with Biology improved his concentration and confidence.
He experimented with a new sequence – Biology, Chemistry and Physics – and found a significant improvement in his scores. This became his final examination strategy.
He advises students to experiment during mock tests and adopt the sequence that suits their individual strengths rather than blindly following others.
Careful Reading Helped Eliminate Silly Mistakes
Arnav believes that most so-called silly mistakes occur because students fail to read questions carefully. During his preparation, he realised that many incorrect answers resulted from overlooking small but important words in the question.
Especially in Biology, words like “most”, “only”, “all” and “except” can completely change the meaning of a question. By consciously slowing down and reading every question carefully, he was able to improve his accuracy and reduce unnecessary errors.

Immediate Doubt Solving Improved Confidence
One habit that significantly contributed to Arnav’s success was resolving doubts immediately. He never allowed confusion to accumulate.
Whenever he faced difficulty in any topic, he approached his teachers without hesitation. Even during the later stages of preparation, he contacted faculty members whenever necessary and clarified his doubts promptly.
According to him, unresolved doubts continue to distract the mind and reduce concentration while studying new topics.
Staying Away from Digital Distractions
Managing distractions was another important aspect of Arnav’s preparation. To avoid wasting time on social media and unnecessary online content, he requested his parents to activate parental controls on his phone.
This limited his phone usage primarily to important calls and academic discussions. By keeping distractions under control, he was able to maintain complete focus on his studies throughout the preparation period.
ALLEN Study Material Was Sufficient for Preparation
Arnav strongly believes that completing coaching study material thoroughly is more important than collecting multiple reference books. He completed ALLEN modules sincerely during the initial phase of preparation, which helped him build strong concepts.
As the examination approached, his primary focus shifted towards revising NCERT, practising previous years’ questions, analysing mock tests and improving weak areas instead of referring to additional study resources.
Error Analysis Became His Secret to Continuous Improvement
One of the defining features of Arnav’s preparation was his habit of analysing mistakes after every test. Instead of simply checking his score, he carefully identified why each mistake had occurred.
Whether it was due to lack of conceptual clarity, calculation errors or careless reading, he ensured that the same mistake would not be repeated. This continuous cycle of learning and improvement gradually increased both his accuracy and confidence.

Valuable Advice for Future NEET Aspirants
Reflecting on his journey, Arnav believes that success in NEET depends more on consistency than extraordinary intelligence. He advises aspirants to build strong concepts from the beginning, complete coaching modules sincerely, revise NCERT multiple times, solve previous years’ questions regularly, take mock tests consistently and analyse every mistake honestly.
Most importantly, he encourages students to stay disciplined, trust the preparation process and avoid unnecessary distractions throughout the journey.
Arnav’s NEET UG 2026 success story is a perfect example of how dedication, disciplined preparation and smart study strategies can lead to outstanding results. His emphasis on conceptual clarity, regular mock tests, NCERT-based preparation, timely doubt solving and detailed error analysis provides valuable guidance for every medical aspirant.
His journey proves that consistent effort, supported by the right guidance and a positive mindset, is the most reliable path to success in one of India’s most competitive entrance examinations.
