Achieved PWD AIR-22, Common Rank-17532, OBC NCL PWD Rank-9 in JEE Advanced
Savan Kumar, a polio disabled student from Vibhutipur village in Samastipur, Bihar, would now study at IIT.
Regular classroom student of ALLEN Kota, Savan Kumar has achieved a common rank of 17532 in JEE Advanced, along with AIR-22 in the PWD category and OBC NCL PWD Rank-9 to script tale of his success.
Recognizing the struggle and talent of 19-year-old Savan Kumar, who is preparing for JEE at ALLEN Career Institute, Kota, ALLEN Career Institute has provided him with an 80 percent discount on his coaching fees.
Savan scored a 99.1473246 percentile in JEE Main 2026.
Suffering from Polio since childhood
Savan was afflicted with polio when he was just two years old. This resulted in approximately 70 percent locomotor disability in both legs, making walking difficult.
He still faces difficulties. He never allowed this physical condition to become a weakness.
Hails from humble farming family
Savan comes from a humble farming family. His father, Prabhu Rai, does not own land and supports the family through sharecropping.
Savan received his primary education in a village school.
Later, after proving his excellence in entrance exams, he received free education from grades 6 to 10 at Simultala Residential School, Jamui, Bihar.

ALLEN support proved crucial in JEE success
After securing 10th place in the merit list in the grade 10 Bihar Board exam, his family decided to send him to ALLEN Career Institute, Kota, to prepare for engineering.
Savan says this support proved extremely important for him. Without this support, it would not have been possible for him to prepare at a high level for JEE.

Savan says, Don’t let any physical disability become a weakness.
Empower yourself through education and strive to bring positive changes to your personality. He aspires to study Computer Science at one of the country’s top institutions, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, or IIT Madras.
In the future, he wants to join the civil service and serve the poor and needy sections of society. Savan explained that his family has played a vital role in his life.
They always encouraged him to live a normal life and never let him feel left out. Despite having difficulty walking, his parents always encouraged him to move forward.
